ABSTRACT
In this study we investigated evidence of Dirofilaria immitis infection among TB patients admitted to the Medical Respiratory Institute of the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Three hundred blood sera samples were analysed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Western Blot methodology. Six positive cases were detected based on antibodies reactive to polypeptides of D. immitis at MW 212, 116 and 77 kDa using Western Blot analysis.
